The #FastaffNurseFamily giveaway is finally here, and it is time to nominate the special coworkers in your life for recognition during National Nurses Week. Below are details about this year's giveaway. 

What is the #FastaffNurseFamily giveaway?

The #FastaffNurseFamily giveaway is a contest designed to celebrate the hardworking men and women in the field of nursing who enrich the lives of patients nationwide.

This giveaway is open to all nurses, including those who work as travel nurses.

Why is Fastaff hosting this giveaway?

Nurses who work together often form strong bonds, whether they work together for only a short amount of time or for many years. They experience many highs and lows together throughout the course of their career. Nurses often work in highly stressful environments, sometimes spending an entire shift on their feet without any time to rest, eat or use the bathroom. They see patients improve, and hold the hands of patients who pass.

All of these experiences facilitate the forging of strong relationships among nurses. In fact, many nurses come to think of the people they work with as family members, not just coworkers. The #FastaffNurseFamily giveaway celebrates these bonds by asking nurses to nominate members of their nurse family for recognition and reward. 

How Can I Participate?

To participate in the #FastaffNurseFamily giveaway, simply nominate a nurse you currently work with or have worked with in the past that you consider a member of your nursing family.

When you nominate a co-worker or former co-worker, both you and your nominee will become eligible for a $500 gift card for Southwest Airlines. The contest opened on May 2, and all nominations must be submitted by May 13, 2016. The winner of the contest will be announced on May 17, 2016.
