Why do you love working with Fastaff? 

Fastaff has ALWAYS been supportive of me while on assignments, has very professional staff in every department, and most impressively, provides a smooth path from finding the right assignment for you to getting you there. They listen if there are issues and help resolve them. A highlight of this past year was accidentally bumping into my recruiter, Jackie, at aFastaff booth at the AORN conference in New Orleans! We had never met face-to-face.

What makes travel nursing rewarding for you?

I travel with Fastaff because of the variety of states they have assignments in. I take advantage of every place I go to see the wonders of this beautiful country. It is great that I can work my schedule around family events and travel for leisure. This past year I fulfilled a lifelong dream of purchasing a motor home that I can take with me wherever I go!

What has been your most challenging Fastaff assignment and how did you feel that impacted your worth as a nurse afterwards?

My most challenging assignment was in a level one trauma hospital and being on “trauma alert”. I was part of the team that goes down to the ER for assessment of the situation and then springs back up to the OR to get ready for a patient whose life is on the line.

 Describe the most miraculous or impressive thing you’ve witnessed or been a part of during your time as a nurse with Fastaff.

The most miraculous thing I have witnessed is a case in which every major bone in the body was broken, and the way many talented physicians and healthcare workers worked for many months to give the patient their life back.
