Specialty:
I am a medical surgical/oncology nurse.
Number of years working with Fastaff:
My current assignment is my very first travel assignment, so this is my first year with Fastaff.
Why do you love working with Fastaff?
I am very glad that I chose Fastaff as my first travel company because the transition from staff nurse to travel nurse was very smooth, more than enough information was provided, housing was taken care of, and pay is great!
What do you love about nursing?
I love travel nursing because it not only took me out of my comfort zone, but it also took away those feelings like ‘now what?’ after doing the same things again and again. Not to mention, it makes me learn something new and it makes me more stable financially.
What makes travel nursing rewarding for you?
The nursing profession is rewarding in general, but travel nursing makes it more rewarding with all these new people I met, new places I saw, and new knowledge I acquired.
What has been your most challenging Fastaff assignment?
My first and current assignment with Fastaff is very challenging because almost everything staffing RNs do on the floor is completely different. The biggest challenge is to have terminally ill and full code patients on a floor.
How have you accomplished some of your personal and professional goals by traveling with Fastaff?
I am really grateful to Fastaff and Jennifer Brattain for the great pay that allowed me to quickly pay off my student loan, my car, and to have the ability to spoil my precious grandchildren even more (if that is possible).
