Q: What do you love about recruiting for Fastaff?

A: “I love my job for so many reasons. I’ve been a recruiter for over 10 years, and this is the only recruiting position that has been so emotionally rewarding. I love nurses because we share a similar passion for health and wellness. I also connect with them because I used to be a CNA. I love Fastaff nurses because they are hard working and well respected in the facilities they work in.”

Q: How has working for Fastaff made you a better recruiter?

A: “Recruiting is a hard job to train for, and takes a very specific personality to provide creative solutions when nurses come across challenges you’ve never heard before. Fastaff creates the environment for recruiters to work hard to do great things for nurses. We (recruiters) are given the tools and flexibility to have a unique relationship with our nurses, to really be their champions. We are not in the travel nursing business, we are in the relationship business.”

Q: What is your favorite part of working with the nurses?

A: “Fastaff nurses are well respected and they love what they do. Our nurses get paid well for working hard and being away from their families. What they do is no small task – especially during a pandemic. And they do it week after week. Our nurses are driven, ambitious healthcare providers, but they’re also humans, and we get to work with them as humans, to help them keep going when things get hard.”

Q: Why is Fastaff different than other agencies?

A: “A couple of reasons – for one, our nurses. They love what they do. They’re ambitious, they work hard and they love working for Fastaff. We are transparent and honest in how we do business. We care about our nurses and their safety. We’re honest with our nurses, even if the news is bad. We don’t hide anything. We’re also smaller than other agencies, it’s a more intimate environment. My voice is heard and our leaders trust us to do the right thing.”

Q: What do you do outside of recruiting for Fastaff?

A: “I am a mom, wife and fitness enthusiast. I am a certified personal trainer, and my husband and I have owned an intramural kickball league for 10 seasons. I moved to Denver to pursue a health and wellness career. I used to be the GM of a personal training gym, which is how I met my husband.”

Q: What is one thing people may not know about you?

A: “I used to be an afterschool hip hop trainer!”
