Why do you love working with Fastaff?

I love working with Fastaff because I have the most superb recruiter ever. In addition, I love the fact that Fastaff treats you like family. They welcome you with open arms, make you feel comfortable, and make sure you are placed on assignments that fit you most and are happy with. I also like Fastaff because they are available for you when you need them the most.

What do you love about nursing?

I decided to be a nurse at a very young age because I love helping people. Being a nurse is so rewarding, knowing you have made a difference in someone's life. As a nurse, sometimes you are the only family a patient has. I love nursing because there are so many specialties to choose from; no matter where your heart or passion lies, nursing has an avenue that fits those desires.

What makes travel nursing rewarding for you?

Travel nursing is very rewarding because of its flexibility. You can make your schedule, take as much time off as you want, and visit places you have always wanted to see while still making money and accomplishing monetary goals you have always dreamt of. I have grown so much more as an RN traveling with Fastaff because the assignments I have been placed on have given me a better skillset and knowledge base to apply to any medical situation.

In addition, working with Fastaff has allowed me to become more confident as a nurse. There was a time when I was on a four-week assignment in TN when I wanted to give up because the hospital was significantly understaffed, and management was not on the same page. One manager would tell you one thing, and another would say to do something else. However, the confidence and support I learned and received by working for Fastaff allowed me to push forward and complete that assignment. In doing so, I felt I could accomplish anything, and I felt Fastaff would always have my back.

Describe a time where you felt more valuable/respected because of the experience and knowledge you gained from your Fastaff assignment.

As a Fastaff nurse, I have witnessed love and unity. Unfortunately, in this world, many hate crimes are happening, and people are not getting along because of the color of one's skin. However, I have had the chance to work and take care of people from all nationalities and walks of life and have had nothing but positive responses. I have not had anyone treat me any different because of my skin color.

Working for Fastaff staff has opened so many doors for me and has allowed me to make many friends in areas of the world I would have never visited. Working as a travel nurse with Fastaff has allowed me to pay for my daughter's wedding and gave me financial freedom. Fastaff has also allowed me to have more personal time off to do something I love more than anything, and that's traveling. My husband and I have traveled to places such as Dominican Republic, Mexico, the Virgin Island, Jamaica, and Hawaii because of the financial stability Fastaff have given me.
