Why do you love working with Fastaff?

Fastaff continues to prove that their onboarding for each assignment is easy, quick and consistent. I always know what to expect. I love my recruiter, Jessica Dusing! She always is quick to respond to me, is so easy to talk to, and I can trust what she tells me!

What do you love about nursing?

Patient care! I was born to be a nurse and advocate for my patients. I could not imagine doing anything else!

What makes travel nursing rewarding for you?

The culture is so different everywhere I go, it’s rewarding to see new places, meet new people, staff nurses, as well as other travel nurses from all over. My adventurous spirit is able to experience all the benefits of travel nursing.

What has been your most challenging Fastaff assignment and how did you feel that impacted your worth as a nurse afterwards?

I think Covid (in general) definitely made an impact on my career. I feel like it has tested me not only as a nurse but as a human being. To sit with a sick patient and hold their hand, while holding a phone in the other hand, so that your patients family feels like they were apart of their loved ones last breath. It is definitely not something that anyone understands,  truly, until you do it. It’s a humbling experience. I’m honored to serve the sick.

How have you accomplished some of your personal and professional goals by traveling with Fastaff?

Professionally, I continue to try to strive for excellent care for my patients and to make Fastaff proud I’m part of their team. Personally, I have been blessed with the ability to travel with my husband. Together, we bought property in Tennessee and currently building our dream vacation home to gather family and friends. Travel nursing has given me the autonomy to live my dream. Thank you Fastaff!
