Infection Control Travel Registered Nurse Jobs

Infections and diseases can spread easily, even in sterile and clean environments. The role of an Infection control nurse is to identify, prevent, and contain the spread of infectious outbreaks in healthcare settings. It is their job to halt the spread of disease to hospital patients, and potentially the larger community.

Infection Control — RN Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in specified state
  • RN degree from an accredited registered nurse program
  • Certification in CIC – Certified Infection Control exam
  • BLS required
  • One year of recent experience in infectious control and two years of RN experience

Infection Control  — Registered Nurse Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze infection data and trends.
  • Provide infection control training and education on prevention techniques for medical professionals and others.
  • Create or define plans to prevent the spread of diseases through the healthcare facility.
  • Reinforce implementation of infection control practices as defined by the CDC.
