Today's Healthcare Heroes: Judy K. & Ashley W. 
Judy K. Recognized by Aimee S. Now as most hospitals do with trying to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19, the ICU does not allow visitors for these patients. When they are declining in heath drastically, the family is called and allowed to see them from behind their ICU door; they aren't allowed inside the room in order to prevent spread of COVID-19.

Today's Healthcare Heroes: Wendy M. & Alexus P. 
Wendy M. Recognized by Chad M.  My wife Wendy responded [to COVID-19] without hesitation! She asked me what I thought. I said, "If God is sending you then go! If you cannot find peace to stay home then, I support you to go because I know you are in God's hands." We live in a small town in rural Alabama. My wife always dreamed of living and working in New York City.

Today's Healthcare Heroes: Kalisa M. & Raeven R. 
Kalisa M  Recognized by Nikki W.  My coworker and I had to do the unimaginable task yet again. We had to take one of our COVID-19 positive patient’s wife (whom was also COVID-19 positive) to be with her dying husband as she had earlier made the decision to withdrawal care. We planned on just taking the wife in to be with her husband during their final moments.

Bart Valdez, CEO of Fastaff Travel Nursing and U.S. Nursing Corporation, has a special message for our nurses and healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. When we received our first coronavirus order on February 28, it took mere hours to secure experienced ICU and ER nurses to fill the positions.
