Galleria MallWith 400 stores and 2.4 million square feet of space, the Galleria Mall will more than likely have what you’re looking for. According to their site, The Galleria also has a full-size ice rink for recreational and figure skating, a state of the art children’s play area, two swimming pools, a video arcade, three full-service national and international banks, two tax-free reimbursement locations, two tailor shops, 12 beauty salons, and a post office.

Bayou PlaceLocated in the heart of downtown Houston’s theater district, Bayou Place is considered the epicenter for dining and entertainment. Here you can find dining options such as the Hard Rock Café or live entertainment at the Verizon Wireless Theater.

Houston Museum DistrictIf you want to take in museums without much meandering, the Houston Museum District is the place for you; it contains 19 museums all within a 1.5 mile radius. Some of the more notable ones include the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Holocaust Museum Houston and the Museum of Fine Arts.
