Emergency Room travel nurses must be able to assess patients quickly and prioritize the data collection based on the patient's immediate condition or needs. An Emergency Room travel nurse must also be able to develop a plan of care that is individualized for each patient and reflects collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. ER travel nurses should also be able to perform all physician ordered treatments in an accurate and timely manner and provide patient assessments while working toward problem resolution.
