Benefits Of A Travel Nurse

One of the biggest benefits of being a FASTAFF travel nurse is the flexible pay options. Not only do you get to decide what your pay rate will be but you also receive terrific benefits. Knowing what your pay options are will allow you to find ways to plan for your financial success.

Depending on your goals are, you can design your own pay rate with choices of benefits, bonuses, travel, and housing. For example, if you decide to pay for your own housing or transportation, you will receive more pay in each paycheck. Or if you opt out of benefits, because you have a partner who can provide you with benefits, you will also increase your pay. The decisions you make will be reflected in the amount of your paycheck. Another advantage of having a travel nurse career is the flexibility it provides in your work schedule. You have the option of choosing your different assignments, giving you the flexibility to work within your lifestyle. You have the option of choosing positions that allow you to have more time for your family, for yourself, or for re-energizing. Your assignments will vary in length, typically not exceeding more than 3 months, unless your request an extension (which is sometimes an option if the facility is agreeable). When your vacation arrives or you wish to have time to yourself, you can easily request time off. There will be assignments waiting for you when you go back to work.

Finally, being a travel nurse offers you more freedom in comparison to other careers. Being able to move from one location to another across the country allows a travel nurse to always be introduced to new and exciting experiences. Each new environment gives you a fresh perspective and often reinvigorates your passion for nursing.
