JOB TITLE: RECRUITER

SUMMARY
Responsible for recruiting, screening, hiring, placing and retaining nurses for travel and strike assignments. Maintain database of assigned nurses and serve as primary point of contact for nurses, acting as intermediary between nurses and various administrative departments. Ensures completeness and accuracy of nurse files.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
>> These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
>> Recruit nurses for assignments by receiving inbound requests generated by email, website contact, phones, or other means.
>> Recruit nurses for assignments by initiating outbound calls based on prospecting techniques.
>> Screen and qualify nurses to determine suitability for assignments based on licensing, experience and education requirements.
>> Submit nurses for assignments by matching customer requirements with nurse specialty, experience and training.
>> Complete assignment AAL and forward to nurse for receipt prior to assignment start date. Check electronic files to ensure a signed agreement has been submitted to the payroll department for each nurse accepting an assignment.
>> Maintain database of nurses contacted and placed on assignment including current licensing, specialty, preferred geographic areas etc.
>> Sell prospective nurses on benefits of working for organization by knowing and accurately describing pay programs, incentive programs, benefits programs and travel programs. Remind current nurses to take advantage of the employee referral program.
>> Serve as primary point of contact for assigned nurses by maintaining weekly contact. Act as intermediary between nurses and administrative departments. Quickly resolve nurse questions and concerns in a timely and diplomatic manner.
>> Maintain and ensure accurate nurse files including name, address, contact information and notes.
>> Monitor daily and monthly recruiter success metrics. Pro-actively address variances to ensure compliance with expected results.
>> Manage nurse incentive payments including stay bonuses, longevity bonuses and other bonus plan offered.
>> Manage assigned Recruiter in Training associates and use appropriate Recruiter in Training metrics to maximize work unit productivity.
>> Serve as a liaison to the Human Resources Department in matters related to employee relations, performance issues, and workers compensation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The minimum education required for this position is an Associates Degree, a Bachelors Degree is preferred.
The minimum related experience required for this position is 1 year in a staffing environment or 1 year of sales experience.

SKILLS
Candidates and incumbents need to have the following skills;
>> Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
>> Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft preferable.
>> Good at following instructions and working independently.
>> Good organizational skills and time management skills are necessary.
>> Strong decision making skills including the ability to extrapolate from written procedures and policies.
>> Good prioritization and multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environment.
>> Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
>> Ability to analyze and resolve work problems

Ensures completeness and accuracy of nurse files.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

>> Assist recruiter in making follow-up calls to nurse data base for prospecting and placement purposes.
>> Assist Recruiter by completing initial application for nurses interested in employment by completing a checklist of required documents.
>> Review nurse applicant files for required documentation to prepare for job placements and/or hot list placement. Follow-up with nurses as necessary to ensure the employment documentation (I-9 and W-4, licensure, etc) is accurate and complete.
>> Make outbound follow-up calls with candidates/applicants as directed by recruiter.
>> Send Agreement Packets to nurses that have accepted an offer for assignment. Follow up as necessary to ensure the assignment commences on-time and as promised.
>> Initiate final assignment call after housing and travel arrangements are complete. Provide pertinent information to traveling nurse.
>> Effectively communicate company compensation and benefits programs to nurses.
>> Understand specific needs and requirements of assignments to answer call backs from potential candidates and run queries in PeopleSoft as requested.
>> Utilize record keeping standards to update applicant data, including name, phone, address changes and employment notes in PeopleSoft.
>> Initiate weekly outbound follow-up calls or emails to active nurses regarding missing timesheets or other pertinent data required to meet deadlines. Report results to Recruiter.
>> Act a liaison between Recruiter and internal departments to ensure quality service is provided to assigned nurses.
>> Follow-up on longevity bonus and other payroll issues for nurses.
>> Provide general office and clerical support to Recruiter.

The minimum education required for this position is a High School diploma, some college preferred.
The minimum related experience required for this position is 2 years in a staffing environment or sales support role.
